Real Scientists 4
This is a series of Christian creation scientists quotes taken from
history.
Galileo Galilei (1564 -1642)
He initiated the scientific revolution which later culminated in the
work of Sir Isaac Newton. He verified the heliocentric theory and he
developed the long range telescope working with lenses and their
properties. He also did detailed experiments on motion.
Galileo wrote:
"The Holy Bible and the phenomena of nature proceed alike from the
Devine Word...God is known...by Nature in His works and by doctrine in
His revealed word."
Here is another real scientist and a Christian who understood that all
the earth, and universe were here by the Word of God and not some
phony superstitious religion called evolution.

Yet Galileo still bucked the religious dogma of his time to say "Eppur
si muove!"
Galileo, if anything, is like the theistic evolutionists of today who
accept a 13 billion year old Universe, a 5 billion year old Earth and
the fact of evolution.
Creationists, on the other hand, are like the Catholic Church of
Galileo's time who wanted him dead for saying that a geocentric solar
system was wrong.
IOW, Galileo is not a point for your side, Apo. He's a point against. |
