America is celebrating on the Fourth of July; my message was for those
living in America:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(United_States)

I correct it and say: “Happy the Fourth of July America”.

Anyone is welcome to join in the new newsgroups.

The fourth of July is St. Ulrich day
(see <http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulrichstag>
or <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulrich_of_Augsburg>).
It therefore has some connection to certain threads about
Cantor's diagonal argument.

More relevant to this NG may be the list at
<http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~history/Day_files/Day704.html> .

However, since SpamBasti wants to save US education, it makes
sense for him to concentrate on US holidays.

No, this is because I am a resident of the USA and now it is a holiday
here.

Google groups generally lost its merit. Look at it, how much junk is
daily posted into the newsgroups.

We want to attract serious educators, professors, students , and
others to communicate, particularly on a closed site, such that
newsgroup gain its original power of communications.

That is why we have regulations and intending to open up a global
company.

Google groups never had any merit anyway. It provided access to Newsgroups
for people who were not willing or not able to use proper news readers.
It thereby removed one (minor) technical protection against idiots.

By spamming this Newsgroup you managed to repel exactly those people.
You are about to revive the notion of an "AOL-retard".

Which does not interest anyone in the least.

Eventually the contract form will attract more people in the long run.

This is advertisement about Google sites (posted at Google
newsgroups), thus it is not Spam.

Once the company is formed we will advertise it directly (as you see
on the side of Google groups from other companies).

These regulations are designed to keep the high standards of the
newsgroup intact (particularly with respect to writing languages in
the postings).

People need to have healthy newsgroups and simply it is not there.

Its environment is pretty repellent.
