Bush's last major visit to Europe greeted with hostility
Monday, 09 June 2008 13:41
BRDO PRI KRANJU, Slovenia (AP) — U.S. President George W. Bush is making
his last major visit to a continent where many dismiss him as
yesterday's man.
As his presidency winds down, Bush — reviled by many Europeans and
simply ignored by others — can do little this week but smooth the way
for his successor.

Dan Rather Slams Corporate News at National Conference for Media Reform
Monday, 09 June 2008 08:25
America's biggest, most important news organizations have, over the past
25 years, fallen prey to merger after merger, acquisition after
acquisition... to the point where they are, now, tiny parts of
immeasurably larger corporate entities — entities whose primary business
often has nothing to do with news. Entities that may, at any given time,
have literally hundreds of regulatory issues before multiple arms of the
government concerning a vast array of business interests.

Russert's Hypocrisy: McClellan on Meet the Press
Monday, 09 June 2008 08:22
Mr. Russert, you are so oblivious to what journalists do that your own
clip proves your inanity. You're supposed to be the "journalist." Why
didn't YOU drill down on Bush over that very same question? You had the
perfect opportunity when you asked it but YOU JUST LET IT GO! Yet you
assail Scott McClellan - a man who's shown more courage in two weeks
than you've shown in years! Do you really believe we're that naive?? It
wasn't McClellan's job to grill Bush. Bush was McClellan's boss! It was
yours!

What will it take for Americans finally to put an end to this Bush
administration?
Monday, 09 June 2008 08:20
Unlike our nation's first president, this president cannot tell the
truth (or the difference between truth and falsehood) and yet, Americans
collectively ignore his repeated falsehoods, his repeated assaults on
their liberty, and the destruction of our Commonwealth aided and abetted
by a commercially driven media that submits to White House pressure to
deceive Americans and which has, as a whole (with few exceptions),
traded the American "Dream" for the nightmare in which we all—at home
and abroad—exist today.
