Last month's attack by a Jewish mob on Arab youths got ample press, but shouldn't be considered
an isolated incident.
In fact, Arab residents of Jerusalem, particularly taxi drivers, detail a pattern of
racially-motivated violent acts by religious Jews.

The drivers from East Jerusalem call the western part of the city the "Wild West." This week,
prominent rabbis circulated Halakhic rulings online, calling for the city's Jews to carry out
violent acts against Arab residents

I'm not supportive of racially-motivated acts by anyone on anyone, but let |
me ask you a question please. What do expect is going to begin to happen
after 60 years of one group being on the defensive and constantly under
siege by the other? The Israelis maintained a moral high ground for decades
and so now it may be beginning to break down. A backlash effect is destined
to occur.
Allow me to make a suggestion. Instead of whining about these still
relatively isolated incidents, get the Arabs to cease attacking Israel day
and night and allow them to live in peace in their tiny little oasis. I'll
bet you any amount you feel you can afford to put up that their problems
will end almost overnight. The Arabs had East Jerusalem for a couple of
decades and should have been satisfied with it as it was, a compromised
sharing of Jerusalem. But no, they wanted the whole pie and their plans for
Jewish eradication got fucked. Too bad for them. But I believe, as time goes
by, Israeli youth are going to get really tired of living under a constant
threat of siege, and this is just the beginning. I hope I'm wrong. But I do
know that you're barking up the wrong tree with these pointless
disinformational posts. |
