That would be a map changer. I think he would also further strengthen
McCain in Florida. It would be a great ticket imo, if only in so far
as these two really would have an authority, experience and legitimacy
hard to match up to. The far right might have a little problem with it
at first, and the left would be freaking out and vilifying them
overtime - but that will be happening regardless.

Um... as a native New Yorker... I think you really don't understand
how
much Rudy was hated there.

Not in a million years. Too many pictures and videos of Rudy in
drag. He also does not come across very well recently. He seems kind
of feeble or something.

Rudy in drag? Then he might even get some Dem "cross-over" votes too.
(plus, McCain might benefit by having a lady on the ticket.......)

That was a good one but what about the feeble thing? He just looks
like some old man in a bad suit lately. He should be in the park
playing bocci or something.

He's smart and, I believe, excellent at articulating positions. It
didn't fly among the republican primary faithful, but taking on his
opposite number-2 that the dems might put up, I think he'd have
credibility. I don't think he's as 'feeble' as you might suppose.
Despite his occasional weakness for high heels, this guy's pretty
tough.

As a person who lived in New York during the tail end of the Dinkin's
administration and watched NYC be rebuilt under Rudy, I humbly
disagree. Besides, considering how shoddily the Democrats are
treating NY Senator Hillary, and Obama's open hostility to Jews and
Israel, Barry could have a real problem in Nov.

Dinkins is hardly a good example, he was equally well hated. Can you
imagine DD running for office?

That said, while Rudy did some good work (particularly with the police
dept
and some of the more egregious city contracts), he was universally
abhored
by everyone. Even if he had been a good mayor (he was really just so-
so),
the divorce/adultery nightmare would have killed any chance of his
going
forward.

Florida rejected him in the Primary after he spent 3 months here every
day...

Crist would help with Florida.

I don't think McCain needs help in Florida:

2000: Bush 516,263 (74%) and McCain got 139,465 (20%).

2000 Florida Primary voters: 700,000.

2008: McCain 693,508 (36%), Romney 598,188 (31%), Giuliani 281,781
(15%), and Huckabee 259,735 (14%)

2008 Florida Primary voters: 2 million.

And his sleep overs in the home of Howard Koeppel and Mark Hsiao will be
ignored by the right wing religious zealots, right?
