Rah-Rah..Go MAN! Yea!
This was the summary of Obama's commencement message, after loyal
servant Kennedy was removed to allow Obama to take his place (by
demonic agents, I believe). Everyone needs to ignore the fact that
they invested (or their parents) so much money into college (by way of
student loans and more) or that they have career aspirations to
accomplish. No. Everyone just needs to leave their ivy league, high-
cost schools and take low-paying public service jobs (or even
volunteer in the peace corps). Because, if we all just hold hands
around the camp fire and sing songs, the world's problems will just go
away (probably, when others fix them for them). My favorite part was
when Obama said it was the task of the graduating class to help
mankind believe, again. Excuse me...put all of America's future and
inspiration upon new graduates. Are you admitting the prior
generations are failures? Also, I thought it was YOUR job, Mr. Obama,
to get America to believe and to fix our problems. No....wait. You
already covered that by saying that electing one man, yourself
(Obama), will not fix our problems, giving you NO responsibility or
promises to fail.
So, if electing Obama isn't the fix, and mankind is so great...what do
we need Obama for...a cheerleader?

"help" suggests their participation in something larger, not putting
all of it on them.
Meanwhile, as with Teddy Kennedy's brother, eventually the "torch will
be passed to a new generation", and these will be the leaders.
| Quote: |
Are you admitting the prior generations are failures?
|
You certainly are, Kennie. You won't even admit that the problems
Obama identified in his speech ARE problems
But in Obama's context, George W is an absolute failure, and the party
he has been leading has spent 2 decades failing to accomplish much of
anything other than to cut people's taxes, while spending hundreds of
billions more on killing thousands of Americans and tens of thousands
of Iraqis for no good reason, while denying that there were any other
problems that needed to be solved other than "activist judges".
Ted Kennedy on the other hand was (and is) a success, a point that
Obama indicated repeatedly.

Also, I thought it was YOUR job, Mr. Obama, to get America to believe and to fix our problems.
|
It is? Since when? Even when he is elected, that isn't his job. No

On the other hand, that arguably could be a statement of Obama's
personal calling, in which case, he was asking for their help.
| Quote: |
No....wait. You already covered that by saying that electing one man, yourself

Of course not.

His responsibility is stated in the aforementioned constitution.

So, if electing Obama isn't the fix, and mankind is so great...what do
we need Obama for...a cheerleader?
|
The better comparison would be to a head coach. The coach cannot win
the football game by himself. But that is my comparison, not Obama's.
He wasn't talking much about himself and his role in that speech; that
isn't what commencement addresses are for: telling the new graduates
what THEIR role in the future can and should be.

False dichotomy.
None of the above.
It was caused by whatever malfunctioning cellular process causes that
particular kind of cancer, followed by the failure of the various
bodily functions that work to detect and wipe out such cells before
they cause a problem.
One could claim that God as the Creator was responsible for designing
the human body so as to make such failures happen (on a frequent
basis, in fact), but that doesn't necessarily mean that God was
personally involved in selecting which ones would be unlucky enough to
suffer the consequences of his screw up. Nor does the absence of
God's direct hand aimed at this particular instance of cancer mean
that Satan did it.
Randomness happens. Most things in life are neither God's fault nor
Satan's. In many cases they aren't anyone's fault. (But if I want to
blame someone, I'll consider blaming it on you, since it seems only
fair to balance your constant blaming of others %^)

He is to blame for the ones what HIS decisions caused.
He is not to blame for the ones that he failed to get American to
believe, nor the ones that he failed to fix that were there before he
took office (but since his decisions made some of those problems
worse, he is to blame for those decisions.
Perhaps, the blame is shared by the party in
majority in the house and Sanate...the Democrats...right?
They weren't in the majority in both for most of Bush's term. They
did not make the decisions.
If Obama cannot be blamed, neither can Bush.
Obama has not yet been elected, and hence cannot be blamed for
decisions that he has not yet made.
If Bush is to be blamed, Obama is responsible to fix things.
That does not follow, because Bush is blamed for causing damage to
this country (in numerous ways), not for the failure to fix things.
Take your pick.
None of the above.

If, as Obama said, ONE MAN cannot be held responsible for the world's
problems (or fixing them), Bush cannot be to blame...right? Or, are
you saying that Obama can be blamed for all the problems during his
administration...just like Carter and Clinton can be? Careful what
you say. Remember that Kosovo, Bosnia, and Somolia all started with

Thank you for the platform to go through this, again, even though
we've done it many times. The Bible says that Satan is the prince of
the power of the air. Indeed, the devil (not God) brought storms
against both the boats of the Apostle Paul and Jesus, Himself. In the
case of Jesus, Jesus rebuked the storm, and it calmed. So, if God
were behind that storm, God would be divided against Himself, which
Jesus said cannot happen.
The devil has authority to create storms, and Christians have
authority in Jesus Name to rebuke them (if they CHOOSE to use that
power...most don't).
Now...what does the DEVIL have against the mid-west...I think it's
pretty obvious why the devil would strike the base of Christian
conservatives in the United States. However, did you notice, in all
those news stories, about all the miraculous saves that occurred and
how few deaths had happened (compares to the 100K + dead in China and
Burma recently). Recall, also, how much destruction was allowed in
the sinful community of New Orleans with Katrina (with few to pray for
protection, there).

Certainly is not anything that you believe in. You are a fake!!
Everyone needs to ignore the fact that
they invested (or their parents) so much money into college (by way
of
student loans and more) or that they have career aspirations to
accomplish. No. Everyone just needs to leave their ivy league, high-
cost schools and take low-paying public service jobs (or even
volunteer in the peace corps).
And where was this said? He gave several specific examples of things
that Wesleyan students did (and could do) without disrupting their
education or careers at all.
You must be right. When he mentioned the peace corps and public
service, he wasn't talking about the students sitting right in front
of him...my mistake. How stupid of me to think he was, actually,
speaking to the audience in front of himself at a graduation ceremony.
He was speaking to the students, you couldn't understand what he said.
Not with washed brain.
Because, if we all just hold hands around the camp fire and sing
songs,
the world's problems will just go> > >away (probably, when others fix them
for them).
And where was this said? No mention of campfires or songs in that
speech. Indeed, his point was in part that the more of us who ACT,
even in little ways, the better the results will be.
Oh? So, we should ACT against terrorists, drug lords, pornography
peddlers, violence proponents in music, teenage pregnancy, abortion,
etc? Maybe we should just IMAGINE a world we want...unless that was
sung by a conservative.
You see here that you're unable to comprehend what is said or written?
No body mentioned music. You fool!!!
Also, I thought it was YOUR job, Mr. Obama, to get America to believe
and to fix our problems.
It is? Since when? Even when he is elected, that isn't his job. No
mention of "believing" or of "fixing problems" in the Constitutional
description of the Presidency.

Yes, they screwed the country when they had complete control of our
government.
And now they (the minority in Congress) backs the President on anything he
vetoes.
Democrats don't have the vote to override a veto. So blame all the damage
done
to the country in the last 8 years on the Republicans. There is no two
ways
about it.

I'm so sick of the Republitards claiming that Democrats have a
majority. The truth is the majority is too weak to over-ride a veto
so the majority is not worth much. Plus we don't have a majority in
the Senate. Lieberman is a Repulsitard fascist warmonger.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----
Mack, don't worry, the Democrats will have a big majority come
January. Republitards will be reduced to mere representatives
of a dying party. |

Carter is justifiably blamed for the failed Iran rescue mission,

responsible for it), though it isn't necessarily obvious that it could
have been avoided.

No they didn't. Kosovo and Bosnia were started by the Serbian
government, and the world indeed is holding specific Serbian leaders
as being responsible for war crimes.
Somalia was a civil war that Clinton did not start. Clinton as
president was responsible for the Mogadishu battle in 1993, the
bombing of chemical plants in Sudan, etc. Those were things that he
ordered.

The problems in Iraq are ultimately the responsibility of Saddam
Hussein, or possibly of daddy Bush for not successfully ending the
war. Arguably however, the problems in Bosnia and in Iraq were caused
by those who started WWI which was never really completed, but was
concluded in a manner designed to cause more wars.

You know what I meant and are avoiding this response. Our entrance in
the those wars were against a non-threat to the United States. In
fact, Serbia didn't pose a threat to the US or any of our allies at
the time. Yet, Bill Clinton sent out troops into that war. So, every
US soldier death caused by those wars is on the head of Mr. Clinton.
Right? It was HIS decision that sent them there.

This is a direct lie. After it was learned that Saddam had tried to

he is to blame for the Iraqi deaths and further priming that country
against us...right?

Think that might have something to do with the fact that a tornado,

or a 7.9 earthquake?
But to get to the heart of the matter, you've told us over and

will He use His resources to protect rebels to His Kingdom? No",
from the thread you titled "Dean strikes the unprotected")
Given that, I ask you again: what does God have against

And for that matter, what did God have against Tennessee
and Arkansas, the heart of Huckabee country, that He
allowed storms to kill 54 people there on Super Tuesday?
He didn't like the way they were going to vote?

Recall, also, how New Orleans may have more churches per capita

who was there at the time -- tells us
Let's see, lessons learned...
Well, the French Quarter where all the bars (including gay bars and
strip bars, all serving 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) was spared.
Churches (especially the RCC) suffered devistating losses. Many simply
ceased to exist, went bankrupt, and will never be rebuilt.
Lesson: God hates churches but loves to pass a good time.
