Doug Feith: ‘What We Found In Iraq Was A Serious WMD Threat’
feith-point.jpgYesterday, Iraq War architect Douglas Feith spoke to the National Press Club to
promote his book, “War and Decision,” and its revisionist description of the Bush
administration’s pre-war planning.
At the event, Feith repeated his claim that the faulty intelligence regarding weapons of mass
destruction in Iraq was an “error,” not a lie. Additionally, he insisted that the U.S. had in
fact found “a serious WMD threat” in Iraq:
While the failure to find presumed stockpiles of dangerous weapons “was catastrophic to
our credibility,” he said, it was not a result of government deception.
“It was an honest error, not a lie,” he said. “Even if you correct for that error, what we
found in Iraq was a serious WMD threat.“
In his book, Feith calls newspaper headlines stating that no weapons were found “fundamentally
false,” and insists that the military found clear evidence of Saddam Hussein’s “intention” [his
emphasis] to build weapons. A website he created to “disprove” myths about the pre-war planning
states, “The Iraq Survey Group found that Saddam Hussein retained both the intention and the
capability to revive bio-chemical weapons programs after sanctions were ended.”
The right wing seems unwilling to give up the belief in Iraq WMDs. In January, former Arkansas
Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) claimed the weapons were hidden like “Easter eggs” and moved to Jordan
before the invasion. He also called it an “overreach” to say that just because we didn’t find
them means they didn’t exist.
As late as April 2006, President Bush insisted WMDs existed in Iraq, despite having admitted
two years earlier that “Iraq did not have the weapons that our intelligence believed were there.”

I can't imagine Feith or any other lying Zionist giving up on the WMD
lies. They clearly feel they can simply brazen their way out of having
to own up to the lies.
It is inconceivable that our "intel" could have been /that/ badly wrong.
In fact, it wasn't. In fact, the intelligence was teased,
manipulated, massaged and cherry-picked to try to yield the conclusion
that Feith, Wolfowitz, Perle, Adelman, Libby and their fellow Zionist
Jews had reached even before 9/11. The Zionists were going to make a
case to invade Iraq to remove it as a threat to Israel, and they were
going to fabricate whatever case they felt they needed in order to
justify it.
There were no WMD, and no laughable "evidence" in the form of long-empty
shell casings will ever establish that they existed. They were not
moved to Jordan or Syria. At the time of the invasion, and for years
earlier, they didn't exist - and all of the senior Bush administration
knew it. |

But, but, but, Russians moved the weapons to Syria. Newsmax said so:
"Russia Moved Iraqi WMD
Charles R. Smith
Thursday, March 3, 2005
Moscow Moved Weapons to Syria and Lebanon
According to a former top Bush administration official, Russian special
forces teams moved weapons of mass destruction out of Iraq to Syria.
"I am absolutely sure that Russian Spetsnatz units moved WMD out of Iraq
before the war," stated John Shaw, the former deputy undersecretary for
international technology security.
According to Shaw, Russian units hid Saddam's arsenal inside Syria and
in Lebanon's Bekka valley.
"While in Iraq I uncovered detailed information that Spetsnatz units
shredded records and moved all WMD and specified advanced munitions out
of Iraq to Syria and Lebanon," stated Shaw during an exclusive interview.
"I received information from several sources naming the exact Russian
units, what they took and where they took both WMD materials and
conventional explosives. Moscow made a 2001 agreement with Saddam
Hussein to clear up all Russian involvement in WMD systems in Iraq,"
stated Shaw.
Shaw's assertions match the information provided by U.S. military forces
that satellite surveillance showed extensive large-vehicle traffic
crossing the Syrian border prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

fact found “a serious WMD threat” in Iraq:

Thanks for alerting us to this author and this book. It agrees with
my understanding of events that led up to the Iraq War.
Your understanding is wrong, and in fact, is not a legitimate
understanding at all. You were fooled by Bush administration liars.
And you are certainly entitled to your opinion even if it is incorrect.
I'm not discussing my opinion. I'm discussing the *fact* that the
administration lied about WMD. It wasn't a "mistake", it wasn't "faulty
intelligence" - they lied.

"faulty intelligence" isn't a lie, it just means they made a mistake. |

They didn't make a mistake, little corporal. They lied. They
manipulated the intelligence, picked the parts that supported their
predetermined goal, discarded the rest.
They lied. It is inconceivable that the "intelligence" could be so
wildly, completely wrong. |
