Oh, I believe in Christianity, all right. How could I not? I have to

Then why so many dishonest tactics?

Quote:
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give
an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in
you" I Peter 3:15

Why do you believe your god created the entire cosmos but only this
planet has life?

If this planet is not the only one that has life, then do the other
planets suffer from Original Sin if it only happened here? And, if so,
why?

If Original Sin happened all over and not just here, then would you
consider that to be a sign that the god you believe created the universe
is fallible?

If Original Sin happened _at all_, do you not consider that to be a sign
that the god you believed created the universe is fallible?

If you do not believe that Original Sin makes your god fallible, then do
you agree that imperfection was an intentional aspect of the creation?
If not, then please explain how it could not have been an intentional
aspect of creation.

Why do you worship your god? If in anything above you agree that your
god is fallible, then do you worship it solely because it's more
powerful then you; i.e., out of fear of punishment? And, if so, would
you consider that "love"?

I look forward to hearing your answer, which you promised above.

Quote:
Always remember: Christ loves you, and so do I! Each and every one of you!

I'd like to see a definition of "love" in this context, given the above
questions posed.

Ooookay: using small words and, possibly, pictures, explain to
me what a Loki is? =A0

(I've asked this before, but apparently the answer didn't stick)

'k. You got yer basic community. They hold opinions or positions on
some issues. Some community members respectfully disagree with some
of that, and discuss it with varying degrees of civility, but the
purpose of "real" discussion is actually to learn things from each
other.

Then you got yer garden variety troll. Trolls come into the community
with an opinion or position they know is unpopular or controversial,
intending to stir people up and cause argument, as opposed to learn or
teach something.

And then we come to the Loki troll. Loki trolls start out acting
pretty much like regular trolls, except the position a Loki troll is
taking (for the purpose of stirring people up) is one he doesn't
actually believe.

Some Loki trolls are secretly sockpuppets of existing members of the
community, out for a lark.

Usually the Loki troll will, on purpose or not, leave little hints
that he's not really serious, for example by going just a bit over the
top into parody or camp. Part of the game of a Loki troll is figuring
out that that's what you are dealing with. It's made pretty damn hard
when the real trolls are so stupid that they sound like parodies of
themselves to begin with.

Ah. Got it. Well said, thank you.

And yes, I agree: `Jack' is a Loki.

What is there to debate? You choose to believe something that has no
proof. Faith is believing in something that you cannot prove.

I choose to not believe in it - and I have studied christianity up close
and personally - and have chosen to not believe.

SO there you have it - one chooses to believe on does not. I do not care
what you believe or don't - your choice entirely.

I choose not to believe and ask that you accept that and leave me alone
-I really do not need to hear all about it - and how wonderful it is to
believe - been there done that and found it sadly lacking.

So do us a favour and leave us alone. That is all I ask. Really.
