" "He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do
not hear [them,] because you are not of God." Jn. 8:47
**********************************************************************************
Islam boasts of doing goods works for the forgiveness of sins. that
means, one stands before God in Judgement on his own merit. a brave
soul indeed but his end is clearly marked for death.
the jist of the idea of doing good works for the forgiveness of sins
has serious flaws in it's concept...
it bypasses the need for the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and personal
salvation through Him.
it finds the 66 Books of the Bible not necessary to be believed as
the means to all truth and salvation.
it insists that " i " will calculate when i've done enough good
works to forgive a sin, making me my redeemer.
it calls God a liar and me a false witness... someone God hates...
Pv. 6:16-19
such is the case with all false religions, as the verse offered
denotes. it shows there is no truth in a person when he finds some
other writing or some other person other than Jesus Christ to be his
Redeemer and guiding light.
since " The sum of Thy Word is truth " ( Ps. 119:160 ) only a false
witness would ever look into darkness to find God. the Word of God is
in Scripture, not in some kind of vision, in Scripture. this leaves
out all but the prophets and apostles of the Bible to have been those
who have delivered God's Word to us.
the Holy Spirit speaks only of Jesus Christ ( Jn. 15:26 )... not
Ellen G. White; not the Popes; not Agnes Ozman; not Carl Sagan;
but Jesus Christ.
finding some other source for the Holy Spirit to teach through other
than what He's already spoken through His prophets and apostles as
recorded in Holy Scripture is bearing false witness... something the
genuinely elect Christian studiously avoids.
and this is why the Apostle John can say from the Holy Spirit...
" We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not
from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth
and the spirit of error. " 1 Jn. 4:6 |
