Many people have been contrbuting to the thread "Is there an alternative to
the theory of evolution?" but does that question contain an implicit
falsehood? It says "the" theory, implying only one. But in the article at
http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/5047 there is a list of about 20
different evolution theories. It says Darwin merely popularized and made
respectable the idea of evolution via variation and natural selection, but
did not invent these ideas. That website has another article saying it was a
creationist who first described natural selection:
http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/493 .

Oh, those rascals! They're so cute when they do that. <G>

When it finally dawns on the creationists that their attempts to
discredit any given scientific concept are failing, they always do an
about-face and claim to have been the ones who first proposed the idea
to begin with. Hoping all the while, of course, that nobody remembers
they were denouncing it with all their might a year ago. <G>
