an amazing paradox is preached by the Modern Evangelical and his
signs and wonders chasing counterpart, the Pentecostalist... they
preach of a Savior who paid the penalty of the sins of all yet all are
not, nor ever will be saved, according to the Bible.
but this is not the whole of their error... the ones who are a bit
more conservative will tell the lost of fire and brimstone which is
eternal hell awaiting everyone who doesn't " accept Jesus as their
Lord and Savior. "
now, to unravel their revel...
if Christ paid the penalty for the sins of all mankind, all mankind
would be saved. Christ failing at the cross is taught by these... a
Savior who paid the penalty for all yet all are not saved.
point # 1. they offer a Savior who failed at Calvary.
the next error follows that since Christ paid the penalty for the
everyone, all you have to do is " accept Jesus as your Lord and
Savior " and thus , by your good work, you are saved.
the lucky few who were smart enough to be saved by their good work
of accepting Jesus feed the lost a preaching of an eternal hell that
can be avoided if you trust in a Savior, who can not save unless you
do something good to invoke Him to save you, though He already paid
the penalty for your sins.
point # 2. salvation is by good works.
hell is there for man as well as for fallen angels. it is there for
unredeemed man. the Redeemer obviously did not redeemer some of
mankind... otherwise, hell would be for fallen angels only.
point # 3. they teach a different gospel.
the elect Christian will have nothing to do with taking the glory
for the doing away from Jesus Christ and taking unto themselves by the
preaching of a failed Savior.
