Strange how this thread keeps vanishing every once in a while and only
comes back when I post to it.

Could Google Groups be going skew, or is someone trying to make out
that this thread isn't there to be answered?

Actually, Google Groups has been on the fritz on-and-off for about a
week - posts not showing up when posted or in the archives. I'm not
convinced, however, that Checker isn't just avoiding this thread for
the obvious reasons. while he gives some fairly good arguments at
times, at other times he isn't exactly the brightest candle in the
box.

You never really know in these unmoderated, anonymous groups - drugs,
drinking, mental instability can be the answer to any myriad of
reasons why so many Usenet posters seem whacked one moment and lucid
the next.

Then again, it could just be a technical issue...

Well Checker did ask me to cite the works of St Ignatius and St
Irenaeus to support my argument that their writings didn't defend his
position, and at the time he also stated that he actually had the said
works within reach so he could check my citations, and this I have
done.
