Take that Ken Ham.
After years of planning, the award-winning BBC television series

The Live Experience now comes to North America for a two year arena
tour beginning this July.
Be amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the
earth return before your eyes!
Internationally-renowned designers have worked with scientists to
create 15 life-sized dinosaurs, including that terror of the ancient
terrain, Tyrannosaurus-Rex!
Marvel at the story of their 200-million-year domination of life on
earth. Watch them walk. Hear them roar. Be there as they fight for
survival and supremacy. From the ripple of their skin to the glint in

With a $15 million-dollar budget, it's a dazzling arena spectacle of
unprecedented size and quality set to entertain and captivate young
and old alike.
So make sure you're there. Be one of the first in the world to
witness the return of the dinosaurs !

What really bothers me is that Evolutionists LIE about what
creationist believe in. I just saw one of the OSU texts that
supposedly presents the Creationist view point to address it's
falicies. It was slipshod, pandering and nothing more than a straw
man set up. If you really believe that you represent the truth, why
lie about what others believe?
Years ago when I was in school, the biology teacher would fail anyone

That sounds like closed minded religion to me not science.

List some of the lies, and their corresponding truths.
| Quote: |
Years ago when I was in school, the biology teacher would fail anyone

|
Lots of stories like this. Problem is that they never come with
corroboration. For instance, list some questions that would get
this teacher to fail a student who passed the tests, labs and
other course work?
Or is it merely that s/he wouldn't let students hijack the class
and turn it into a bible study session?
| Quote: |
That sounds like closed minded religion to me not science.

_IF_ it happened, it was a bad teacher, not a sign that s/he was
a holder of a (fictional) evolutionary religious doctrine.

Your point? Science works to winnow the wheat from the chaff. You
appear to be mucking about in the chaff pile. 'Ware the sneezing.
And, for your information, Intelligent Design by Aliens is a
working hypothesis of folks purportedly on your side in the
anti-evolution teacup tempest.
| Quote: |
Creationists aren't the only ones taking HUGE leaps of faith.
|
Lots of folks make leaps of faith. I am not a creationist, and I
make a leap of faith as a Christian.
However, science exists to obviate the need for such leaps. in a
certain sphere of life, by establishing a method for testing the
world around us, learning what can be reasonably relied upon and
what cannot. |

As there is such a range of things that creationists believe in, it's
hard to come up with any argument, however ridiculous, that some
creationist has not made at some time.
There's no need to lie about creationist beliefs.
| Quote: |
I just saw one of the OSU texts that

In that case why don't you demonstrate by reference to creationist
sources which arguments are a "straw man"?
| Quote: |
If you really believe that you represent the truth, why
lie about what others believe?
|
A question you need to ask creationists rather than scientists.
http://www.plesiosaur.com/creationism/index.php
Here is my analyisis of several creationist web sites. You will see
that I have identified numerous instances of misrepresentation,
distortion and outright falsehood on all these sites. I suggest that
you either demonstrate that I am incorrect in my assessments, or tell
us why such systematic dishonesty is acceptable provided you are a
creationist.
An equivalent analysis showing systematic dishonesty on the part of
"evolutionists" would support your assertion that "evolutionists" are
liars, but would not address the issue of creationist dishonesty.
| Quote: |
Years ago when I was in school, the biology teacher would fail anyone
who even questioned evolution.
That sounds like closed minded religion to me not science.
|
As you have no evidence to support this assertion, why should anyone
believe you? Creationist sources can be shown to be systematically
dishonest. Why should anyone believe any statement made by a
creationist?
Before you retort with the statement that "evolutionist" sources are
dishonest, I suggest that you provide an analysis of several
"evolutionist" sources demonstrating such dishonesty.
If you can't you would be lying, and what does that tell us about the
moral standards of creationists?

I can see it now... people holding signs that say "Knowledge are bad
More likely "(picture of a lightbulb) R doo doo"
This isn't really a joke. Some poster started a thread with the same
old polling demonstrating that the more education you have the less
likely that you are going to believe what is most likely claptrap
theological nonsense. Most religious people would see immediately
that flat earth or even geocentric theology is questionable, so why do
they make a big deal about the age of the earth and not its shape and
whether biological evolution is a fact of nature or not?
|
Well, "most" religious people aren't creationists.
| Quote: |
Science isn't out to destroy your religion. Your religion is out to
destroy any sense of something new that comes along if there is an
automatic block for notions that just don't matter.
|
(Nitpick alert -- that applies to the creationists, not most
religions.)
| Quote: |
Why aren't all
"true" Christians flat earthers and geocentrists? Why aren't all
"true" Christians young earth creationists? Why do guys like Philip
Johnson claim that the earth is probably very old, and still claim
that theistic evolutionists are the intelligent design scam artists
worst enemies?
|
Obviously, because we interfere with their scam.
| Quote: |
What about the young earth creationists that believe
something that is patently false, or the geocentrists, or the flat
earthers? Why are they lower on the enemy list than the Christians
that don't have a problem with science?
Actually, Johnson may be lying about his old earth views and he could
even be a flat earther and geocentric. Who could tell? He was
obviously lying about intelligent design being science for years.
