He might even be the only major repub candidate worthy to carry the
label 'Republican' - and not neoconned 'republicon'.
The man appears to be sincere about his opinions of the Iraq Fiasco -
for all the right reasons.
(That's what I miss in US politics - principled and respectable
people)

Addition, for educational purposes:
"Hagel told a press conference today in Omaha that he wants to keep
his focus on finding "a responsible way out of this tragedy."
Hagel, who said in 2004 that he may make a White House run, now says
he'll decide about his political future later this year.
Hagel's staunch opposition to the administration's Iraq policy is
shaped in part by his experience as an Army sergeant in Vietnam, where
he served side-by-side with his brother Tom.
He was twice wounded in 1968, one of the bloodiest years of the war,
earning two Purple Hearts. "

He may as well run. So far, our choices are a slit, a jig, a spic, a
plagiarist, two multi-marriers, a mormon, a faggott, what else? |

Correct me if I'm wrong....but isn't Hagel a huge supporter of illegal aliens?....AAC |
Think before you vote in the next election and make an impact
on who is in control of giving our country away. |

I don't agree with him on every issue, but I'll support him if he runs. If
he gets the nomination, I'll support him. He has integrity.

Medium-huge.
Hagel oppossed sending the NG to the border...
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/05/14/hagel-on-immigration/
"Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., defended the legislation -- approved Thursday --
that provides a means for 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants in the
United States to become citizens."
http://pub2.bravenet.com/news/127360218/70383/1
He is one of the group that thinks some form of PROCESS that magically turns
criminals into non-criminals therefore isn't amnesty...
Its bullshit.
If you're here illegally you're a CRIMINAL.
If you're a CRIMINAL we need to DEAL WITH THAT first and exclusively. And
the ONLY way to deal with that is DEPORTATION.
Later, maybe you'll qualify for a guest-worker position.... Or not.
Later, maybe you'll qualify for a legal immigration.... Or not. |

There's Sam (the Sham) Brownback, a self-flagellating Opus Deist.
I'll allow, for a moment, your "slit, jig, spic" terminology; I suspect you
were doing it for effect.
But you touch on a point worth looking into.
How is it *these* are the people we're stuck with as prospective Leader of
the Free World?!
There are plenty of smart people in this country who would be better at
being President than any of the politicians on either side of the aisle.
How is it we end up with this motley crew of weasels?
Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, George Carlin, Willie Nelson, Yogi
Berra ... any one of them (regardless of their political leanings) could be
expected to serve in what they honestly believe are the best interests of
the entire population of the United States.
Government has become too important to be left to politicians. |
