Actually it's evidence for common ancestry. There's no reason at all
why a creator, who is creating everything from nothing, should include
anything similar in such disparate organisms as a human and a banana.
Since you're claiming that a creator did in fact do this, then you
need to come up with 150 years of solid science to support your
position just like the evolutionists, many of whom share your faith,
have done in support of the Theory of Evolution.
If you don't have 150 years of solid science, you're hardly in a
position to take on the Theory of Evolution, are you now? Thanks for

It's one of the most common "proofs" they offer.

I notice you didn't answer the questions:
So you don't know what a rat is when you see one?
And you don't know what is *not* a rat when you see one?

This is a classic example of how thoroughly dishonest Gabriel is.
Ask him a simple question, present him with a simple challenge, and
you will never, ever get a straight response.
He will toss out any straw man, evade anything he can.
He will avoid answering and ignore your question like the plague
whilst asking lots of misdirecting questions in return. Moreover,
he'll then behave as though you're somehow deficient for not answering
*his* question, whilst he dishonestly tries to hide the fact that he
hasn't answered yours, even when your question is designed for no
other purpose than to help him get an answer for his own question.
Going the extra mile - purportedly a Christian duty - is quite
evidently not an option in Gabriel Whirled(TM). He won't even go the
first mile.
Ask him to define [rat] as I did, and he refuses. Instead, he hides
behind the dishonest pretense that *I* can't tell what is a rat and
what isn't.
But either by chance or by ignorance, he's avoiding the bigger
question, which is how "type" is defined and how he is going to
differentiate one "type" from another.
If he cannot do this - and he quite clearly cannot, then how can he
pretend that it is not a LIE that he can determine when one "type" has
changed into another "type"?
Distinguishing a "cat" "type" from a "dog" "type" is easy, assuming
each is a "type" to begin with. But how about distinguishing one
bacterial "type" from another bacterial "type"?
Again I asked Gabriel this question and guess what?
HE RAN AWAY.
Why is *that* not a surprise?
Those of you who are Christians, especially those of you who support
or have supported Gabriel (although I notice a complae lack of support
for him of late) might want to ponder for themselves whether or not
they can answer this question and whether or not Gabriel is dishonest
to pretend that he can when he clearly can neither define "type" nor
explain how he would distinguish one "type" from another when the
distinction is not so easy as it is in distinguishing a cat from a
dog.
If there were a creation, distinguishing a created "type" or "kind"
ought to be the easiest thing in the world.
There ought to be absolutely no problem whatsoever in doing it right
down to the level of the genome.
Indeed, the genome ought to contain some sort of mechanism which
prevents one "kind" from changing into another "kind", yet no one,
anywhere, no matter what their training, or faith, or lack of faith,
has *ever* found *anything* *anywhere* in any organism which would
prevent one "type" from changing into another "type" over time via
various evolution mechanisms.
OTOH, every single item of evidence turned up for one hundred and
fifty years screams that it happens.
That's the fact of evolution.
